Acceptance
By creating an account, browsing Bizoo, submitting content, creating a business profile, requesting or providing quotes, running ads, using paid features, or otherwise accessing Bizoo, you agree to these Terms of Use and to the policies linked from them. If you use Bizoo on behalf of a business or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
If you do not agree, do not use Bizoo. Additional product terms may apply to paid services, advertising, verification, promotions, or third-party integrations.
Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Bizoo. If the law where you live requires a higher age or parental consent, you must satisfy that requirement.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete account information and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for protecting your password, sessions, trusted devices, two-factor authentication methods, API keys, and other credentials.
- You may not transfer your account, impersonate another person or business, create misleading accounts, or use another user account without permission.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account, payment method, verification submission, or business profile has been compromised.
Bizoo platform role
Bizoo provides technology that helps people discover, evaluate, contact, and interact with businesses. Bizoo is not the seller, contractor, employer, agent, insurer, or guarantor for transactions or relationships between users and businesses unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
User-to-business dealings
Businesses are responsible for their services, products, quotes, pricing, promotions, events, licenses, taxes, warranties, customer obligations, and legal compliance.
No guarantee of outcomes
Bizoo does not guarantee that a user will hire a business, that a business will respond, that a quote will be accepted, or that an ad or promotion will produce a specific result.
No professional advice
Content on Bizoo is for general platform use. Bizoo does not provide legal, tax, financial, medical, construction, safety, or other regulated professional advice.
User judgment
Users should evaluate businesses independently, confirm credentials and permits where needed, and use appropriate written agreements for offline work.
Profiles, listings, quotes, and marketplace activity
- Bizoo may create clearly labelled, unclaimed business profiles from licensed public or open business datasets. These profiles may show a business name, category, public storefront address, exact map coordinates, validated website, source attribution, and an unclaimed status before an owner joins Bizoo.
- An unclaimed profile is not owner-authored, verified, endorsed, or guaranteed current. Reviews may be submitted before a profile is claimed, subject to the same review-integrity rules that apply to claimed profiles.
- Authorized representatives may claim a platform-created profile through Bizoo verification. Starting a claim does not confer control; evidence must be submitted and staff must approve the claim. Bizoo may maintain a separate profile instead of merging it with another profile.
- A business or affected person may report incorrect information, closure, duplication, privacy concerns, or request removal. Bizoo may correct, suppress, retain, or remove information as permitted or required by law and source-license obligations.
- Business profiles, product listings, service listings, business hours, contact details, locations, social links, prices, promotions, and availability must be accurate and not misleading.
- If you create or manage a business profile, you must have authority to represent that business and must comply with applicable consumer protection, advertising, privacy, licensing, tax, employment, industry, accessibility, and local laws.
- Quote requests and responses must be genuine. Budgets, preferred dates, counteroffers, negotiation notes, and attached content should not be deceptive or abusive.
- Businesses are responsible for honoring offers, prices, promotions, refund policies, event terms, and customer commitments they publish unless the listing clearly and lawfully says otherwise.
- Bizoo may edit visibility, remove, demote, reject, label, or moderate listings, quotes, profiles, events, or promotions that violate these Terms or create risk for users or the platform.
Public discovery and search services
Public visibility on Bizoo and eligibility for third-party search discovery are related but separate controls.
- Eligible public business profiles, posts, events, and promotions may be crawled, indexed, cached, linked to, or summarized by search engines and AI-assisted search services.
- Personal profiles are excluded from public search discovery by default. A personal profile must be public, contain substantive public activity, and separately enable the 'Appear in public search' setting before Bizoo treats it as eligible.
- Products, services, and standalone review pages are application features rather than standalone search-index entities, although their public information may appear in eligible business-profile context.
- Completed or cancelled events and expired or cancelled promotions may remain publicly accessible with an accurate status for a limited period, but they leave active discovery sitemaps when no longer current.
- Search inclusion, ranking, snippets, caches, AI-generated summaries, referral traffic, and removal timing are controlled in part by independent third parties. Bizoo does not guarantee any ranking, indexing, traffic, or removal outcome.
User content and license
You retain ownership of content you submit to Bizoo, such as posts, comments, reviews, messages, attachments, profile details, photos, product and service listings, promotions, event details, business replies, and feedback. You are responsible for making sure you have all rights needed to submit that content.
You grant Bizoo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, publish, translate, moderate, format, distribute, and otherwise use your content as needed to operate, secure, promote, improve, and provide Bizoo. This license ends when your content is deleted from active systems except where retention is needed for backups, legal compliance, safety, disputes, audit logs, or other legitimate platform purposes.
Content responsibility
Reviews and platform integrity
- Reviews must reflect a real, honest experience with the business, product, service, event, or transaction being reviewed.
- You may not post fake reviews, AI-generated fake reviews, reviews on behalf of someone else, paid or incentivized reviews without required disclosures, review spam, or reviews designed to manipulate ratings.
- Businesses may not pressure users to change or remove honest reviews, suppress negative reviews through threats, offer incentives conditioned on positive reviews, or review their own business without a clear and lawful disclosure where allowed.
- Business replies must be professional, truthful, and may not reveal private customer information or retaliate against reviewers.
- Bizoo may use moderation, spam scoring, flagging, helpfulness signals, verification indicators, reports, and staff review to protect review integrity.
Messages, events, promotions, and social features
- Messages and attachments may be used only for lawful, respectful, and relevant communication. Spam, harassment, threats, phishing, malware, illegal solicitation, and abuse are prohibited.
- Events must accurately disclose date, time, location or online link, price, ticketing, capacity, age restrictions, cancellation terms, and organizer responsibilities.
- Promotions must clearly disclose eligibility, price, discount, promo code terms, redemption limits, start and end dates, expiration, restrictions, and any material conditions.
- Posts, comments, hashtags, follows, reactions, and other social features may not be used to harass, deceive, manipulate search or ratings, or coordinate abuse.
- You are responsible for offline meetings, events, transactions, services, deliveries, safety precautions, insurance, permits, and legal obligations connected to your activity.
Business verification
Verification is a trust and safety process for confirming that a business profile appears to represent a real business and that a signer appears authorized to act for it. Verification is not an endorsement, guarantee, license confirmation, background check, insurance confirmation, or promise that the business will comply with law or satisfy customers.
- Verification applicants must submit accurate, current, complete, lawful, and non-fraudulent documents and attestations.
- Bizoo may require different evidence depending on jurisdiction, entity type, registration level, business category, risk signals, and staff review.
- Bizoo may approve, reject, request more information, cancel, expire, or revoke verification where information is incomplete, inconsistent, expired, misleading, fraudulent, or no longer accurate.
- See the Verification Policy for the verification-specific document, signer, retention, and review rules.
Advertising, paid features, and billing
Billing/Payments coming soon.
- Advertisers are responsible for the truthfulness, substantiation, legality, targeting, landing pages, disclosures, claims, offers, and fulfillment of their ads.
- Bizoo may review, reject, pause, remove, label, or limit ads, campaigns, promotions, or landing pages for policy, quality, safety, billing, legal, or user experience reasons.
- Campaign metrics such as impressions, clicks, conversions, spend, fraud flags, and billable events are operational measurements and may not match third-party systems exactly.
- Businesses may use prepaid balances, payment methods, refunds, invoices, and transaction records through Bizoo billing tools. You authorize charges, deposits, deductions, and refunds according to the paid feature you use.
- Payment disputes, suspected billing errors, chargebacks, refunds, and tax questions must be reported promptly with supporting details.
No guaranteed advertising results
See the Advertising Pricing and Refund Policy for unused-cash refund eligibility and processing.
Prohibited conduct
- Breaking the law, violating third-party rights, or encouraging others to do so.
- Harassment, hate, threats, exploitation, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate content, or content that endangers people.
- Fraud, impersonation, deceptive listings, fake engagement, fake reviews, review gating, misleading claims, or manipulation of search, rankings, ratings, or ad systems.
- Spam, unsolicited commercial messages, phishing, malware, scraping, credential harvesting, automated abuse, excessive requests, or interference with platform infrastructure.
- Uploading content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or contractual rights.
- Reverse engineering, bypassing access controls, probing vulnerabilities without written permission, or using Bizoo data to build competing databases in violation of these Terms.
- Using Bizoo to sell or promote illegal, unsafe, regulated, counterfeit, stolen, discriminatory, or prohibited goods or services.
- Deleting and recreating accounts, profiles, businesses, promotions, products, services, or listings to evade reviews, ratings, disputes, fees, chargebacks, bans, verification history, fraud signals, or enforcement actions.
Intellectual property and third-party services
Bizoo, its design, software, logos, trademarks, service marks, and platform content are owned by Bizoo or its licensors, except for user content. These Terms do not grant you rights to use Bizoo branding, software, or proprietary materials except as needed to use the service as permitted.
Bizoo may integrate or link to third-party services such as payment processors, maps, OAuth providers, verification providers, push notification services, analytics tools, and websites controlled by users or advertisers. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices.
To report intellectual property concerns, contact support@bizoo.co with enough detail for us to understand the work, the allegedly infringing material, your authority, and the requested action.
Privacy and communications
The Privacy Policy explains how Bizoo collects, uses, shares, and protects information. The Cookie Policy explains cookie and similar technology choices.
- You agree that Bizoo may send transactional, account, security, service, billing, verification, moderation, and legal notices electronically.
- Marketing communications require consent where applicable, including prior express consent for recipients in Canada under CASL unless another form of consent or an exception is permitted by law, and must include unsubscribe controls where required by law.
- Users and businesses are responsible for complying with anti-spam, privacy, consumer protection, and marketing rules when they contact others through or because of Bizoo.
Deletion, records, and recreation
You may request deletion of your account or eligible profiles through supported controls or by contacting support. Deletion does not give a clean slate for marketplace integrity, billing, reviews, verification, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or safety investigations.
- A primary personal profile is required for account use and cannot be deleted separately from the account. Eligible business profiles may request closure through profile management.
- Unverified business profile closure removes public visibility and starts the profile deletion workflow, but Bizoo may still retain limited records for safety, fraud prevention, disputes, billing, legal compliance, backups, or other permitted reasons.
- Account deletion does not erase completed or pending transactions, invoices, tax records, refunds, chargebacks, disputes, quotes, redemptions, ad spend, payment-ledger entries, support records, legal requests, or staff audit logs.
- Reviewer deletion may anonymize the reviewer, but it does not automatically remove genuine reviews, ratings, helpfulness history, moderation records, or business-impact history.
- Business profile, product, service, event, or promotion deletion may hide or tombstone public content, but it does not erase prior orders, quote history, saved items, attendees, redemptions, reports, disputes, or reviews tied to that activity.
- Verified business handles, badges, business numbers, tax IDs, domains, legal names, addresses, signers, and other high-trust identifiers may be reserved, hashed, reviewed, or blocked from automatic reuse to prevent impersonation or fraud.
- If a new account or profile appears to reuse a prior verified business identity, Bizoo may require manual review, ownership transfer, reverification, fraud escalation, or legal hold before approval.
- Content and information retained by other users, such as message recipients, event attendees, business counterparties, or public viewers, may remain available to those parties unless Bizoo removes it under policy or law.
Suspension and termination
Bizoo may suspend, restrict, remove, demote, label, archive, or terminate accounts, profiles, content, listings, ads, campaigns, verification status, API keys, or platform access if we believe there is a violation of these Terms, non-payment, legal risk, security risk, fraud, abuse, operational risk, or harm to Bizoo, users, businesses, or the public.
You may stop using Bizoo at any time and may request account deletion through supported account controls or by contacting support. Some records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity
- Bizoo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- We do not warrant that Bizoo will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or available in every location or for every business category.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bizoo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including rights that consumers cannot waive.
- You agree to indemnify Bizoo from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your content, business activity, ads, listings, events, promotions, transactions, violation of these Terms, or violation of law or third-party rights.
Disputes, changes, and contact
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Any dispute will be handled under the law and venue that apply to the relevant user relationship, transaction, order, consumer protection rule, or mandatory law. These Terms do not override non-waivable consumer or privacy rights.
We may update these Terms as Bizoo changes. Material updates will be posted on this page, and continued use of Bizoo after an update means you accept the updated Terms unless the law requires a different process.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@bizoo.co.
